Electric Opel Corsa GSE wins Carwow Germany’s fun-to-drive award

Opel Corsa GSE has received Carwow Germany's fun-to-drive recognition in its 2027 awards. Opel announced the jury's choice on 27 October 2026. The year in the award's title identifies the award edition; it does not mean that the news or announcement was published in 2027.

207 kW and 345 Nm

According to the manufacturer's figures, the all-electric Corsa GSE produces 207 kW and 345 Nm. Claimed acceleration from zero to 100 km/h is 5.5 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h. These are published technical figures rather than acceleration measurements independently performed for this article.

The specification includes a Torsen limited-slip differential, lowered chassis and performance-oriented brakes. The Carwow Germany assessment highlights braking, supportive sports seats and the distribution of power at the front axle. The recognition concerns the car's driving character.

The award has a specific scope

An editorial driving-enjoyment award should not be turned into an overall victory over every car in every market or a safety certification. Naming the awarding organisation and the nature of the category preserves that distinction. This report does not claim universal superiority over competitors.

Opel also refers to the model's earlier motor-show appearance in Paris. The car was therefore not first revealed on 27 October. The new development on that date is the award announcement, separate from the earlier product introduction.

No Turkish price or delivery announcement

Ordering references in the release belong to the relevant market context. It does not announce a Turkish retail price, local order opening or delivery day. Readers considering a purchase in Turkey should consult the local specification and official sales conditions.

The cover is an official photograph of the actual Corsa GSE on the road; it is not presented as a picture of an award ceremony. Acceleration figures and recognition should be considered alongside daily use, charging access, tyres and maintenance needs. The award is not a substitute for evaluating whether the car meets an individual driver's requirements.
